Yoga for Athletes Program

Our Yoga for Athletes program offers an effective way for athletes to enhance their performance on and off the field. Each yoga session is geared to complement an athlete's physical training, enhance mental focus, and develop overall mobility, flexibility, and strength.

What makes Yoga for Athletes so effective? 

  • Physical benefits. Yoga helps athletes increase their mobility, balance, and flexibility. All important componets to preventing injuries and improving performance.

  • Breathing techniques. Yoga compliments athletic training with key stretches, strengthening poses and breathing techniques.

  • Mental focus. They say that 90% of any game is mental. Yoga is an effective way to help athletes center in and build focus -- both on and off the field.

  • Two instructors (youth class). Class for ages 8-13 is led by two certified instructors with strong team sports backgrounds and extensive athletic experience (see instructors below). Instructor 1 leads with verbal cues while instructor 2 provides visual demonstration.


Weekly Classes


WEEKLY CLASSES (YOUTH: AGES 8-13)
An excellent class to enhance performance on and off the field. Focus is on developing overall mobility, flexibility, and strength. Equal emphasis on breathing techniques, mental focus and mindfulness for athletes. 2 instructors lead each class (one for cueing, one for visual demonstration). Geared for ages 8-13.

WEEKLY CLASSES (ADULT)
An active class for adults. Each class will deliver an active yoga workout, fire up your core strength, ensure proper alignment, and renew focus and strength. Equal emphasis will be given to stretching, breathing and well-deserved moments of relaxation. Suitable for those who have never taken a yoga class to those who practice regularly.

  • Day: Sundays

  • Time: 5 - 6PM

  • Geared for adults seeking an active workout (suitable for older teens as well)

PASSES
Passes for Athletes may be used for either the Youth or Adult class and may be shared among participants within the same household. Passes are "flex" to accomodate busy schedules -- simply enroll and use as your schedule allows.

Team Sessions

Are you a coach or a program director? We also offer private team packages. Your team's Yoga for Athlete session (or series) can take place either at our location or we come to your facility. A great team building experience and enhancement for all athletic programs. Please contact us directly for information on private team pricing and packages.
