Yoga camp registration -- save the date

Hi everyone,

I am writing to you today to share an update about our August Yoga Camp.  However, before I address these updates, I would like to take a moment to provide you with my perspective on how our community at Butterfly Kids Yoga can help to drive positive change and stand together as an inclusive community — for all ages.

For me personally, it comes back to what originally drew me to practice yoga — finding an outlet to clear my mind, body, and soul while also being challenged both physically and mentally during the time I spent on my mat.  This is how I found yoga, but then I also found more than my individual practice — I found an open, welcoming, and inclusive culture among yogis.  It's this combination that drives much of my decision making at Butterfly Kids Yoga and Yoga 170 — building a welcoming community and uniting people (of all ages!) together through the practice of yoga.  And, it is my perspective that it's this combination that can help drive change and build a more inclusive society.  I believe that each time your kids practice yoga, they gain perspective, clarity, and valuable skills that transcend well off the mat and outside of our classes.  It is my hope that through this combination we can all (collectively) help drive change in our own way and become more united together.

Camp updates
From what we know, it looks like our August Back to School Yoga Camp has a strong likelihood of happening! Our location at White Brook Nature Area has a large outdoor space which we will fully utilize, big windows for lots of fresh air in the building, and of course we will be following all safety guidelines.

Registration for August camp will open on Sunday, June 14 at 8pm. We need to limit capacity, so it will be first come, first serve and will cap at 15 kids per age group (ages 5-8 in the morning; ages 9-13 in the afternoon).

A note about what else we are working on
I realize that nothing can replace an in-person class, but in an effort to provide you with full length preschool, kids, athlete, sports team (and even school) classes online, we are working to create On Demand kids yoga classes. I’ll provide more updates as it all comes together.

However, if you’d like a peek into what this will look like, we are launching Yoga 170 On Demand classes next week. Click here for the update.

Thanks for taking the time to read these updates!

With gratitude,
Ali
