When it comes to a good challenge in yoga, kids are ALL about it. Teens? Crow pose or working on their flexibility and mobility. Tweens? Partner poses are their jam. Double downward dog, anyone? Little yogis? Balancing in boat, flower or crane pose.
But the most challenging pose of all? It's the simplicity of unwinding. Of just allowing themselves to lie back, relax, and let go. It's this...
And yes, this can be challenging for kids! Because how often in their busy day can they just unplug and do this? I can't tell you how many kids look forward to this time in class. It's their 2-3 minutes to themselves, to breathe, and to just let it all go. Challenging for some? Yes. Rewarding for all? Without a doubt.
